RTOS/CC2640R2F: GPIO vs. PIN driver: GPIO driver issue?

Part Number: CC2640R2F

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

Hi,

regarding to this posting from 2016

e2e.ti.com/.../529456

i'm wondering if it's still better to use the PIN driver instead of the GPIO driver for the CC2640r2f?

I used the GPIO driver for button interrupt, which so far works very good.

Now I added an additional digital output for debugging reasons (e.g. measuring debouncing timeout with oscilloscope), but i'm not able to get it run yet.
Beside this issue, do you still recommend to use the PIN driver instead of the GPIO driver?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Alex
