Linux: CC2564C: Can A2DP run simultaneously with BLE

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2564C

Tool/software: Linux

Hello,

We use CC2564C and want to pair smartphone to play A2DP music , We want to transmit A2DP media stream to PCM to play the music.

Can BLE profile used at the same time with A2DP?

What can be done to make it work?

Regards

Gao Hong

  • Which host controller are you planning to use with the CC2564C? The protocol allows for BLE to be used with A2DP, but for some of the host controllers only allow for Assisted A2DP (A3DP), which can not be used simultaneously with BLE.
  • Hello,

We use alpwise stack which support BlueSDK 5.1.Currently we have no specific limitation on smarphone.

We got information long time ago from your website that BLE and AVPR are not supported simultaneously on CC2564C, does it still has such limitation?

And since A2DP use sbc, do we need to set AVPR enabled when transmit A2Dp stream to pcm?  Is this the reason BLE can't be used at tthe same time?

We also want to set up A2DP and HP link with smartphone and HSP or HFP with hedset, Does CC2564C support 2 wsbc sco links at the same time? Or does it support 2 sco link at the same time? How to set it?

    Thank you.

    Regards

    Gao Hong

  • You are correct that AVPR and BLE are mutually exclusive.

Please refer to the datasheet, but the device can support up to 2 SCO links on the same piconet.
