CC2541: CC2541 power issue

Hi,

We have done the Bluetooth device based on the CC2541,which design to we have added one RGB LED (APTF1616SEEZGQBDC) for indication purpose. This is not operating from CR-1220(3V/35mAh) battery.But if we are feeding direct power supply to the device its working fine.We have tested with CR2032 battery also.From this 3V/220mAh battery to some time is working and some time not working.So, could you please suggest me what we need to do for this issues.

CR2032/CR1220 cannot stand continues current drain so I suggest you to analyze the continuous power consumption of your application first.

Hi,

In our application wise continues power consumption is 8mA .Then current range is increasing from 8mA to 10mA, While RGB LED is blinking .

Standard continuous current drain of CR2032 is about 0.20~0.3 mA. 8mA continues power consumption is too much for CR2032.

Hi,

Actually we are using customised board and 8mAmp current it is consuming while BLE advertising.

When i checked datasheet RX and Tx current are in range of 17-18mAmp, so this 8mAmp while BLE advertising is normal or we can reduce it further?

Please let me know the solution.

Try to consider using CC2640R2 instead of CC2541.
