CC2640R2F: Bluetooth 5 SPP profile questions

Hi,
We are considering to use TI Bluetooth 5, CC2640R2F for our next projects. While evaluate CC2640R2F , we have some questions, please assist to explain
1. Since Bluetooth 5 does not have standard SPP profile like classic Bluetooth; how to connect Bluetooth 5 devices with mobile devices (iOS and Android) and PC.
2. Do we need to develop our own APPs or driver to connect to mobile devices (iOS and Android) and PC respectively?
3. If question 2 is yes, does TI provide APPs and drivers' source code to speed up develop process?
