Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LAUNCHXL-CC2650, UNIFLASH
launchxl-cc2650
I have just gotten a launchXL-cc2650 module, and the intended use is as a ZigBee packet sniffer.
The first step is to flash the board with the correct firmware, and according to the data sheet and quick start guide, the process for this is to connect the device via USB cable to the PC, and use SmartRF Flash 2 or Uniflash to update the firmware with the sniffer firmware.
However, when I plug the device in there is no indication that windows is detecting it at all.
The device powers up and I can connect to it with the Simple Link iOS software over Bluetooth, but I cannot get the board to become detected under windows; using windows 10 here I'm afraid.
I've installed SmartRF Packet analyser 2, Smart Flash 2, and the BLE stack drivers from the website, but there are no new devices showing as connected in windows device manager at all, and windows makes no attempt to load drivers as if it is not detecting it at all.
Does anyone have any ideas at all? I am completely stuck?
Is there some jumper I need to adjust to enable the onboard XDS110 debugger or something?
kind regards
Andy
