CC2564B: SPP client connection is not possible from CC2564B device

Hi,

We are trying to run SPPDemo application in STM32F4 series controller. When we run as SPP server, then SPP client application in mobile can communicate with our STM32 device.

When we tried to run SPP client, then connection establishment itself failed. We run server application in Mobile before pairing itself. We separately tested this SPP server application using another mobile and found that this is working properly.

When we run the SPP client application in device, the inquiry part is working properly and it correctly discovered the mobile having SPP server and pairing is also successful.

Then we initiate connection from client using OpenRemoteServer() function call in Demo application. But after sometimes we got open confirmation event as given below

"SPP Open Confirmation, ID: 0x0002, Status 0x0002 "

Since the status is 0x0002 and we can ensure that this connection establishment is failed. As per the code the status 0x0002 means Connection refused. Is this related to any configuration missing in our project?

Dinesh,

Have you tried running some other SPP app on the same phone? The port status of connection refused could be due to number of different issues. It is hard to tell from the high level information.

Thanks Vihang for the reply.

We already running a BT SPP server application in the mobile. We checked the working of this server using BT SPP client application on another mobile.

So we conclude that this will not be an issue with the server. We suspect that do we need to add any other configuration in project setting.

Dinesh,

Could you please capture firmware logs of the issue from the client device? This will help us see what exactly is happening during the attempted connection and why it is getting rejected.

Thanks to all .. My issue is got solved now. Here SPP connection is based on UUID.
