CCS/LAUNCHXL-CC2650: FirmWare version Missmatch

Hello,

I had created a firmware using CC2650-LaunchXL previously on CCS 6.1 using BLE SDK "cc26xx_bluetooth_smart__2.01.00.44423".

Wright Now i have to update the firmware but my current system installations are CCS 7.4 with BLE SDK "ble_sdk_2_02_01_18".

Currently when i am importing my previous firmware(project) I am getting the following errors given in below image

When i tried to link the path i am not able to find these path in my current SDK version

So kindly help me with the path to download previous SDK version or help me with current version paths

try to use ProjectZero example come with SimpleLink Academy 1.11.

Hello Utkarsh ,

The majority of your errors are "Invalid Path" to an E:\ProjectZero path which references the BLE-Stack v2.1.0 installation. If you are porting to a new SDK version, we recommend that you follow the procedures in the Porting Guide which is found on the BLE Wiki.

Please take care to install the recommended TI ARM Compiler for SDK 2.2.1 which is v5.2.6. This procedure is in the BLE SW Dev Guide.

Hello,

Where have you downloaded the cc26xx_bluetooth_smart__2.01.00.44423 SDK?
Our released SDKs do not follow the structure you provided.

If you wish to use project zero with BLE-Stack 2.2.1, then I recommend to start from the version from in SimpleLink Academy here: software-dl.ti.com/.../overview.html and port your changes over.

Hello YiKai Chen,

I have already developed a firmware by combing Project Zero and Heart Rate example and now i want to just update it so kindly help me with the same because currently project Zero of the CC2650 is not available and if i start using project zero again i have to start from scratch

So if possible please help me so that i can just update the firm ware

I suggest you to download SimpleLink Academy 1.11 from software-dl.ti.com/.../overview.html and you can find ProjectZero for BLE Stack 2.2.1 in it. Import it into your CCS and make sure you can build original example without problem first. Then, you can merge your application code from your old ProjectZero to new one.

Hello Utkarsh ,

As YK suggests and as explained on our online Porting Guide from the BLE Wiki, the methodology is to start with a new sample application (in this case Project Zero from the latest CC2650 version of SimpleLink Academy) that is already supporting the new SDK version, then merge your application changes according to the porting guide.
