CC2650: Wireless Water Temperature Sensor

Hi;

I'm looking for a wireless temperature sensor to measure the water temperature. The device doesn't need to be waterproof, and having a probe should be fine. I am interested in the SensorTag, but I couldn't make sure how I can use that to measure the water temperature.

I think LAUNCHXL-CC2650 will be easier for connecting temperature probe like www.sparkfun.com/.../11050

Thanks a lot. I am hoping I can find a more simple solution, like a one piece wireless temprature sensor. Otherwise, I can use a Raspberry Pi and a temperature probe and don't need a microcontroller. By any chance do you know an alternative solution?

Do you need BLE to transmit temperature data? If you can elaborate your application, I can try to suggest more suitable solution.

I need the data to be transmitted using a wireless technology, ideally BLE or Wi-Fi.

The scenario is to receive data from a temperature sensor device, send them to a gateway over BLE, transmit it over cellular network to a server using MQTT and visualize it on the server.

So, my proposal to use LAUNCHXL-CC2650 connecting temperature probe should be the suitable solution. SensorTag or other temperature sensor isn't water proof so it is not suitable for your application.
