RTOS/CC2640R2F: Hanging on scifClearAlertIntSource

Part Number: CC2640R2F

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

I currently have a program that accumulates data from external sources on the sensor controller, and upon filling up the buffer, sends an alert, writes the data, and then clears the alert before finishing the rest of ti's task and looping back again.  Most of the time, this runs fine, with no issue whatsoever.  However, after an arbitrary amount of time, ranging from 1 to 20 hours, my program will hang on scifClearAlertIntSource() and never continue.  I have a serial debug statement both before and after this function, and while normally both get triggered, on the hang, only the first does.  I'm not sure where to start looking to solve this issue, as it seems to be a persistent but sporadic issue.  I am inclined to think that it is a race condition, but would like some input before jumping to this conclusion. Would anyone be able to point in in a direction to a solution?

  • Hi Isaac,

I presume data is still being collected after the full buffer alert/interrupt.
It does seem like the amount of time it takes to write the data and the time it takes to fill up the buffer is possibly causing an issue.
Would it be possible to set a lower threshold so that it would trigger the full buffer alert/interrupt earlier?
