CC2640R2F: OAD by using Simplelink Starter Application

Hi,

I am looking for android app to make OAD to my custom board.
I am using Simplelink Starter application in ios device and i can choice the firmware that will be loaded.
However, i could not find a way to select firmware in simplelnik starter android application.
I wonder that i am missing a point. Can you help to solve my problem ?
My OAD service is same with oad service in simple_peripheral_oad_on_chip example.

When i start to OAD in app, the app seems like freezing.

I am using Samsung A5 and my android version 7.0
SimpeLink Starter v5.3.0(Build 42)
My sdk version is 1.35

Hi Zahid,

There are list of default firmware to load device.
How can i import my firmware to sensorTag application in android ?
When i select the CC2640R2 LP firmware, OAD does not start.
Status messages: EOAD Clint header was rejected by peripheral cannot continue.

Why the app did not work in sdk version 1_35 ?
Which steps that i should follow to enable OAD via SensorTag application in sdk version 1_35 ?

Hi Zahid,

Is there any news from you ?

Is there any way to increase BTool speed during OAD. It takes nearly 3 minutes, It would be nice, if i can down to 1/3.

Hi,

Which connection interval are you using? You can try using the lowest connection interval (7.5ms) to optimize for speed in OAD options.

Hi erdem,

From my OAD testing experience, it takes about 3-4 minutes to finish.

Hi Zahid,

I am using 7.5 ms for connection interval.
It takes 3-4 minutes via BTool and it takes nearly 30 seconds via iOS app. How can i increase the speed of BTool to make same with iOS application? Is it possible ?

Hi,

What version of BTool are you using? Is your application doing a connection parameter update request that is changing the connection interval? A sniffer capture would be helpful to analyze this.

I am using btool in simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk_1_35_00_33\tools\blestack\btool director.
Connection interval is given below

// Minimum connection interval (units of 1.25ms, 12=15ms) if automatic
// parameter update request is enabled
#define DEFAULT_DESIRED_MIN_CONN_INTERVAL 12

// Maximum connection interval (units of 1.25ms, 12=15ms) if automatic
// parameter update request is enabled
#define DEFAULT_DESIRED_MAX_CONN_INTERVAL 12

When i decrease connection interval, i did not see huge improvement on oad speed.
