Linux/CC2640R2F: "GAP_DeviceInit" fail with gateway

Hi TI expert,

I program hostTest with our dongle, it can work correctly with BTool. We try to control it with our gateway. When gateway send "GAP_DeviceInit" to dongle, we get "04 0e 04 01 03 00 01"(not "04 ff 06 7f 06 00 00 fe 00"). What the message mean? How do I fix it? Thanks

The interface to the Host Test application is defined in the TI_BLE_Vendor_Specific_HCI_Guide.pdf. Please refer to it under the docs/blestack folder of the application.

Hi Sean,

In normal case, we can get "04 ff 06 7f 06 00 00 fe 00" in step-3. FF is event code. But we get "04 0e 04 01 03 00 01". I don't see any define about 0E. Can you tell me which TI_BLE_Vendor_Specific_HCI_Guide.pdf version do you use?

Hello,

Use the PDF includes in the docs folder of the SDK you are using.

0x0E corresponds to a command complete event.

Hello,

Can you provide a way to reproduce this issue? Do you have a script or a set of code that shows the issue?
Generally command complete is issue in response to a command that was previously issued.
Do you have a logic trace of the communication between the two devices?

Sorry for late reply. We cannot reproduce this problem recently . We will check communication between the two devices if we see this problem again. Thank you for your help.
