Hello,

I followed the guidelines pdfs for the RF430-TMPSNS-EVM and was able to read the data. I'm currently trying to read the tag using an Arduino board as I would like to send the temperature data over bluetooth (HC-05 module) to an android phone. I'm not sure how to use the HC-05 to send the data with the code for the RF430-TMPSNS-EVM.

I found one tutorial* that used the BM019 module to read ISO15693 tags. However, it is not reading the RF430-TMPSNS-EVM.

Any help would be appreciated or even pointing me in the right direction.

Hello Kobe,

I have no knowledge of the device you are using for reading the tag, but as far as the process goes, you can find all the details needed in our app note (linked below) which includes flow charts and example firmware for reading the temperature from the RF430-TMPSNS-EVM. You will have to find out how to make your module operate as needed to read the tag on your end though, as the reader you are using is not a TI device.

Hello Ralph,

Sorry for the late reply, I got busy and was trying a bunch of things. I've looked at the code provided with the sloa233. The main.c file claims that:

"* This example also can optionally output that data to UART along with
* information such as the tag UID."

I've also figured out how to use the HC-05 with the MSP430FR4133. For that, I followed this tutorial: www.electronicwings.com/.../hc-05-bluetooth-module-interfacing-with-msp-exp430g2-ti-launchpad. However, that is Energia code and I'm not sure how to take this temperature code and modify it so it will send the temperature data over the bluetooth using HC05.

Could you please help or point me in the right direction?

Hello Kobe,

The UART feature is embedded within the iso15693.c file so if you are unfamiliar with program modifications that isn't what I'd use.

Instead replace the LCD_displayTemperature inside of the NFC_runRF430FRLStateMachine (in nfc_app.c) with your Bluetooth data sending function, using the LCD_displayTemperature function as a basis for your Bluetooth version.

Unfortunately I have no knowledge of Energia nor the HC-05 so I cannot help on that end. For Energia you should post in the Energia forums: https://forum.43oh.com/forum/119-energia/

Hey Ralph,

I'm having no luck getting the HC05 bluetooth module to work with the MSP430FR4133 reader in C code. So, I'm thinking of sending the data through wires to an Arduino from the MSP430FR4133. Any ideas on how I can do that?

Hello Kobe,

You should make a new thread in the MSP430 forums for that topic. I support the RF430FRL152H and collateral for it, and I don't have expertise in the MSP430FR4133 to the level I can help you with that.
