CC2564: CC2564MODNEM: HFP-AG Connection to a car like a mobile phone

Hello,

we are currently working on a project where we want to connect the cc2564 to the car like a mobile phone. We would like to use the HFP AG interface to exchange audio. We also want to send phone book contacts to the car in vCard format.

We use the following hardware:
CC2564MODAEM Module Evaluation Board
CC256XEM-STADAPT Adapter board for the STM32F4
STM3240G-EVAL

On the other hand, a car with hands-free system (in this case a C4 picasso).

And the following software:
CC256x STM32 Bluetopia SDK v4.0.2.2 ---> NoOS ---> HFPAGDemo

for logiciel we use
Putty Program
Logger 5.0


I Follow tuto processors.wiki.ti.com/.../CC256x_TI’s_Bluetooth_Stack_Basic_HFGAGDemo_APP
all works up to the command OpenAudioGatewayClient, after 5 or 6 secondes the port close itself.

    From going over the .lgr file - the link key request fails which causes the connection to be disconnected.

    Can you please share the security parameters and function you use.

    To add to Chen's comment above, the authentication is most likely failing due to the lack of response for the PIN code request.

  • Hi,

    Thanks for sharing the latest logs. Couple of observations from the firmware logs and the application debug prints.
    1. The Pairing and BT link connection is working fine when the pairing/authentication is correctly handled in the application.
    2. Everything in the application debug prints look good up to the point when the profile disconnection (HFRE Close Port Indication, ID: 0x0001, Status: 0x0000.) So it looks like some procedure/negotiation at the service (profile) level connection is failing due to timeout and thus the connection is terminated from the Bluetooth stack.

    It is hard to tell exactly what that could be. Do you have access to a Bluetooth sniffer (like Frontline Sodera or Ellisys)? If yes, a sniffer capture can reveal some more information on why the service level connection fails.

    Have you noticed this issue with any other car unit? Or it only happens with this particular C4 picasso?
