CC2640R2F: Load Capacitance Ratio of the Watch Crystal

Part Number: CC2640R2F

Hi,

I have another question regarding to the 32,768 kHz crystal:

I use a 7 pF crystal from Epson. Now I have to choose the right load capacitances for this crystal. The Ti application note does not mention how the ratio of the two load capacitances should be for optimal performance and current consumption. On Ti designs, there are two identical 12 pF caps. But I read on other application manuals from other manufacturers that a ratio of 2:1 is the best tradeoff for their whole BLE chip range.

- What is your suggestion for the ratio of the load capacitances?

- What are the pros and cons?

- We want to use the device from -30°C to +85°C. Which dielectricum of the capacitors should we use? Are there any other parameters which are important?

Thanks!
