Dear experts,

we got a CC2650STK SensorTag.We started working on it and connected to our mobile with Bluetooth application with SENSOR TAG app on Andriod.It is working fine

But We are new to this area and would very much appreciate a step-by-step guide and wants to know...

how to install CCS with the right components
how to connect the tag to jtag/xdc, install proper drivers
how to write the simple code for this sensor tag and dump the code into it
how to debug the code

I recommend some of our Youtube videos as a starting point.

Here is one for Code composer.

For developing code you will need a LaunchPAD instead of the SensorTag.

I recommend this one.

I suggest you to read www.ti.com/.../swru393e.pdf first. Download and install BLE Stack 2.2.2 and there are dedicated examples for CC2650STK. It’s pretty straight forward to run and test them. You can also refer to processors.wiki.ti.com/.../CC2650_SensorTag_User's_Guide

Hi ,

I have questions that we cannot develop code for Sensor tag cc2560 which i show in above image ??

And if yes how we can program it because it having only two connection type 1.DevPack connection 2.Jtag connection .

Can I program through OAD ??

It's no problem to develop your own code for CC2650STK. You can refer to senstag examples in BLE Stack 2.2.2 and base on it to revise for your own application. To program CC2650STK, you need to have CC-DEVPACK-DEBUGGER or you can buy a LAUNCHXL-CC2650 which has XDS110 debugger on it so you can connect CC-DEVPACK-DEBUGGER or XDS110 debugger on LAUNCHXL-CC2650 with your CC2650STK via jtag/cjtag. OAD is not easy for beginner so I suggest you to use it after you are familiar with CC2650STK and BLE Stack.
