Hello,

I want to utilize Bluetooth part as a wireless bridge between MCU and smartphone.

My concern is what is the amount of current consumed when CC2640 is in ready to connect mode so that at any point of time smart phone can connect to the device and exchange data therafter.

Hello Anshuman,

That depend on the connections settings and specifically the advertising interval as the device will consume energy every time it wakes up and advertise packets. You should be able to get a very low average current consumption.

Please read the app note Measuring Bluetooth Low Energy Power Consumptionto get a better understanding of the power consumption for different operative modes. And/or review the Connection Parameters section in the BLE-Stack Users Guide.
