CC2540: How to find Distance by using RSSI value?

Dear All,

Here i am using CC2640 Central part for receiving data from peripheral.

"pEvent -> deviceInfo.rssi" in this Structure i am getting the Rssi values. But here my application is like to find Distance according to the RSSI level.

Can anybody tells me about the formula and related terms.

Hi,

You will have to design your own algorithm to use RSSI to determine the distance. You should be able to find lots of articles regarding this online.

I just quickly googled "use rssi to calculate distance"
Then I got the following:
