Hi All,

I am trying to upgrade firmware on my custom board using OAD Onchip.

while transferring oad image, it hangs up at OAD Reset.

I have attached Launchpad Btool screenshot.

Please guide me, where I am going wrong. It is bit critical for my project. Any help will be highly appreciated.

Hi Lakshmikanth,

Have you applied the fix for the known issues on the OAD User's Guide wiki page? processors.wiki.ti.com/.../CC2640_OAD_User's_Guide

You may be running into the "Device Does not restart after successful OAD" issue. Please apply the fix as specified by the wiki page. If that does not resolve the issue, please send a sniffer capture showing the full OAD.

Hi Rachel,

Thanks for your response. I believe this hanging happens before even downloading the image. I captured sniffer log while attempting the OAD. BTool waits for establishing connection after initial OAD Reset and then hangs up.

Hi,

I tried the fix mentioned in the link you have shared. Some of the steps mentioned are not clear to me.

Flash Programmer 2:

Run the above installer
Copy the contents of the emupack installer to <fp2_install_dir>/config/xds/* -->> I don't understand what they mean by contents of installer. I got .exe file from the link shared.

CCS:

Run the above installer
Follow the steps for Manual CCS installation on the above wiki page ->> This wiki page is not mentioned anywhere in the link provided.

Can you please make it clear what they are referring to?

I found OAD reset specific code was not ported properly onto my application. I have resolved this issue. Thanks for your help.
