CC2640R2F: flashing Error for cc2640

I have the customize board for cc2640 and when flashing from JTAG which is on launchpad cc2640R2F it gives following error

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -242 @ 0x0)
A router subpath could not be accessed.
The board configuration file is probably incorrect.
(Emulation package 7.0.48.0)

This is usually caused by bad jTacg connection. I suggest you to check it first.

HI ,

I am stuck i am still not able to flash the code with the JTAG

1. Do i need to connect external crystal 24Mhz to pin No 30-31
and also the DCDc_SW

Hello Parth,
You need an external 24 MHz XTAL.
You can try to issue a forced mass erase from Flash Programmer 2 to check if you can get contact with your device without the external crystal, but you cannot do much with the device without it anyway.

thanks for the reply about DcDC_SW pin no 17 is it necessary to short to vddr as recomended in the referenced design CC2650Em-5XD

Hello Parth,

If you are not using the DCDC converter and want to use the internal LDO instead, disconnect DCDC_SW and connect VDDS_DCDC to the
VDDS supply. The Global LDO is connected internally to the VDDR pin, which must be connected externally to the VDDR_RF pin.

I bought 24 MHz and connected but still i am getting the same error

As a base i am refering the data sheet page no 41 Internal LDO Regulator schematic and as well as CC2650Em-5XD as the IC cc2640 5mmX5mm

Can you share your full schematics here on E2E? Also, what debugger are you using, and how have you connected it to your custom board?
