CC2640R2F: Flashing just the app file during dev cycle

What version of the SDK are you using?

I assume you're using Flash Programmer 2 to flash the bin file. Did you remember to select the “Pages in image” option in the Erase settings? Did you set the start address to 0x00000000?

I'm on SDK v 1.50.00.58, and yes I'm using SmartRF programmer as described. I think what's happening is that sometimes on startup the device is executing the Persistent App instead of my custom app. I'm using the on-chip SBP example as the base for my code.

If the persistent app is running the device is advertising and blinking the LED, so it should be easy to see whether the persistent app is running.

Flashing just the BIM should not give you any problems (as the BIM is contained in a separate memory area).

However if you make changes to the persistent app you will have to re-flash the persistent app, stack and app.

If you make changes to the app you should only need to re-flash the app.
