CC2640: How to stop/start the bluetooth stack

Hello,

My environment:
SDK:                       simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk_1_50_00_58
HW:                       LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2
Project:                based on simple_peripheral_cc2640r2lp_app.

In order to go to a low power mode, I have to stop advertising (and disconnect), and in a later stage, start advertising again.
I couldn’t find a way to do this in documentation.

Q1: What do I have to do to stop the Bluetooth advertising and go to a low power mode?
This can mean that the device is either connected or unconnected.

Q2: What do I have to do to start the Bluetooth advertising again?

Hi Gerrit,

You can enable and disable advertising by setting the GAPROLE_ADVERT_ENABLED parameter to true and false.

uint8_t advertEnable = TRUE;
GAPRole_SetParameter(GAPROLE_ADVERT_ENABLED, sizeof(uint8_t),
                         &advertEnable);

But if still connected, how can I disconnect?

Hi Gerrit,

You can use GAPRole_TerminateConnection(). You really should take a look at the API descriptions, I think you would find lots of useful information ( dev.ti.com/.../api-reference.html ).
