CC2640R2F: cc2640r2f hid driver conflict with Uart driver

Dear TIs,

I finished hid_emu_kbd Demo in simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk_1_40_00_45 ble5stack's simple_peripheral project,according to simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk_ble_example_pack_1_50_00_62'shid_emu_kbd Demo.

It is running well without UART driver. But when I add UART driver, The CC2640R2F launchpad connecting to PC can't be connected by other BLE nodes.

the code is as follow, pls tell us how to check the error? OR if according to PC system,how to check it?

Hello Sara,

The UART driver is dependent on the bios and should be invoked after the BIOS_start() is called. Please refer to the uartecho example from the resource explorer.
dev.ti.com/.../
Please move your SerialCommunication_init() into a thread that gets called after the BIOS_start.

Thanks for your reply. But we are not familiar with TI RTOS. So Would you pls provide a demo for us? I think it will expedite our project schedule.

Hello Sara,

Here is an example that does this. Note that the UART API is invoked in the mainThread after the calling BIOS_start()

I have checked it in my code.but it didn't work,and make me disconnect BLE device.
So do you have other demo ?

Hello Sara,
Can you give more details on what was changed in the code. Were you able to call SerialCommunication_init() after the call to BIOS_start() and UART still did not work?

Hi Sara,

You need to call SerialCommunication_init() at SimpleBLEPeripheral_init(). I suggest you go through the Simplelink Academy modules to get some familiarity doing this as well as with RTOS.
