CCS/CC2640R2F: how to change pin state in program?

Hello,

I would like to change UART TX pin:

- before sending - output, pull up,

- after sending - high impedance (input, no pull).

How can I do it? Which functions can I use?

Is it possible when this is UART TX pin? Because unfortunately it doesn't works. When I change state of this pin in my GPIO init table, TX is still in pull up mode, but when I change state of other pin (for example DIO23), this pin works properly.

IT should work on UART TX pin too. You should check if there is somewhere in your code that set the pin to UART TX again.

Hi ma ri

i just realized that you cannot use the pin driver (PIN_setConfig) to change the pin as long as the UART controls it through the UART Driver.

What you can do is to modify the BoardGpioInitTable in the CC2640R2_LAUNCHXL.c so that CC2640R2_LAUNCHXL_UART_TX is configured here the way you want it to be configured when not using the UART. This will be the configuration you have until you do a UART_open and after a UART_close.

After UART_Open, the pin will be configured as an output.

I solved my problem in a differrent way, because I used IOCPortConfigureSet function. Thanks for the help anyway.
