RTOS/CC2650: CC2650 entering GAPROLE connected state without any connection

We are developing a board based on the TI sensortag design. It is using the CC2650 as the main micro-controller. The application code is based on the sensortag_cc2650stk_app.

The device is advertising properly and I am able to read the advertisement data using the TI sensortag app on iOS. However, it is not showing the services. Once we try to see the services, the device goes into a state where it keeps going to the Gaprole connected state without any active connection. Even after a reboot, the device keeps going to the Gaprole connected state without any active connection. Since there is no device, the connection fails and it returns to advertising for a while.

Did anyone else face the same issue? Any help will be appreciated.

Hello Ganapati,
That sounds very strange indeed.
Are you sure there is no device that automatically connects to it in the vicinity?
Have you set the optimization level as low as possible when debugging as described in the debug chapter in the SDG:
dev.ti.com/.../breakpoints.html

Hi Eirik,

Thanks a lot for the response. I have set the optimization level to zero such that I can look at all the variables. The strange thing is that it was working in the previous version of our design. I am now checking the layout and RF path to make sure that there are no issues with antenna layout and interference.

Just wondering, if there is interference in the RF path, could it think that it is valid connection request and attempt to connect?

I doubt it. It is extremely unlikely that the radio will sync on noise interpret it as a valid packet.
