CC2540: CC2540 Tx Power tolerance

Part Number: CC2540

In the datasheet of the CC2540 the nominal max Tx power has been specified to +4 dBm.

The nominal min Tx Power has been specified to - 23 dBm.

Question: what is the worst case tolerance (in the temperature range + voltage range + corner samples) on these typical power values? +/-1 dB +/-2 dB? ....dB?

Hi,

The Tx output power varies significantly in the full temperature range (-40 to +85) with approx +/- 3 dB. This can be seen in figure 12 in the datasheet.

The Tx output does not varies too much with voltage so this is in the region of +/- 0.2 dB; figure 16 in the datasheet.

To answer your question with the worst case for all the parameters would be approx +/- 4 dB.
