Hi,
We are evaluating the CC2640R2F using the launchpad for our new product.
Performance is quite good but we ware wondering what kind of boost we can expect when pairing it with a CC2590.
The intended use will be a connection with a smartphone. While we'd love to use Coded PHY the reality is that almost no phones support this yet so we can not count on that.
It is my understanding that the link strength between the CC2640R2F and the smartphone will be largely depended on the weakest link (the phone)
However, by increasing the RX performance of the CC2640R2F using the CC2590 I was hoping to achieve greater range.
I know the is a difficult question to answer but I'm looking for ballpark figures, would adding the CC2590 give us 1~10% more range or is it more like 50% or more?
