CC2640R2F: Issue with programming hex file( from d drive ) using IAR

So to get a clearer picture:
- What is the definition of not functioning in this case?
- If you copy the hex file to the C: drive, does it then work?
- Is the hex file you generate from the C: drive and the D: drive equal?

Ans : Means i use host test example and checking just response...response not coming.

Ans : I have not tried.

Ans : Actually i did some modification in D drive host test example so i cant compare because surely it will generate different file then each other.


Actually the problem i am facing is with 5x5 package jorgin module only that i forgot to explain you in my previous query but in case it works fine for launch pad.

After i post query i did some experiment and found observations as per below.

- If i generate bin file from D drive and programming through RF programmer it works but hex file not working for 5x5 package (Jorgin module)

I have already written that when i generate hex file from C drive for 5x5 package then it works fine, also when i generate bin file from D drive for 5x5 package it works but hex file only generated from D drive is not working.

Sorry, not easy to follow since you are not doing the same on the C: and D: drive. Meaning that you can have set up things correctly on one drive but not on the other or done changes to the code that could impact something.

Have you set CCS to use the same hex format in the two cases?

Btw, if you get a working bin file why do you need a working hex file when you are using Flash Programmer 2 which can use both formats?

1) The changes in D drive i did is not related to setting but its just application code related as i added one more custom command that's it.

2) I have not tried with CCS.

3) It is requirement to use hex only in our production line as per current setup so.

Unfortunately sometimes I forgot which IDE that has been used.

In IAR, how have you set up the hex format you want? Is this equal for the C: and D: drive project?

The reason I ask (from my understanding): You have a bin file that works and a hex file that does not work that are generated at the same time. Meaning that it's nothing wrong with the code, just the generation of the hex file. The question is why.
