CC2640: OTA Flashing

Hi,

the device datasheet reports on first page:

-Supports Over-The-Air Upgrade (OTA).

Does it mean you can flash the internal memory with OTA?

Or what can you do with it?
In case it is not possible, can we supply devices with already programmed flash?

Not sure if I follow you. To be able to use OAD you have to download an image to the chip since the flash is empty out of the fab. The customer has to flash the device using jtag or uart in their production line.

Ter,
if I understood correctly, to flash the program into the device we have to use JTAG or UART, because it is not possible to do it with BLE.
Then OAD can be used only to upgrade the firmware, as said below?
But upgrading means to re-write the flash, correct?

"OAD is a Device Firmware Upgrade (DFU) method that allows for updating the firmware wireless over a BLE connection."
