Hi Team,

As per document of Backdoor bootdoor we need to use dedicated UART pin with respect to each package of Ic.

Is there any way to write custom Bootloader to use custom UART to make it as bootloader?

No. As the TRM state the UART pins are fixed, see 8.2.2 in www.ti.com/.../swcu117h.pdf

Hi Sumit,

You can find a flash implementation of the ROM bootloader here: github.com/.../ble_examples-2.2 . This can be adapted to your requirements.

Could you please provide source code for using flash for UART bootloader??????? We are stuck in this issue since our boards are not configured with default UART pins.

In that link cc2650 is used ...they said that CC2640 will not support here

Generally we don't do customer dependent porting since we have finite bandwidth.

Hi ,

Its okay. Now our board reworked with default pins of cc2640r2frsm ...dio_1 and dio_2 for UART pins. Now I need a serial bootloader for loading our script from board. Can you please share that.

Hi Paul,

If you are using the correct pins you can use the ROM bootloader. Refer to the information in www.ti.com/lit/pdf/swcu117 for details.

Flash Programmer 2 supports programming over UART. Refer to the included help content for details.

Hi
I already set ccfg.c for bootloader. But our aim is firmware upgradation from board{From cloud download hex file to emmc and from there using a script flash hex file to board. This is the plan}. For that we cannot use flash programmer. Using any script we have to upgrade from processor using UART pins to cc2640.
