CCS/CC2640R2F: CCS reports warning after I update the IDE

Please check question 2, any update will cause CCS failed opening, I have tried as you suggested more than four times, every time it finally ended up with reinstall the whole software...

yes, I am using the latest version: 8.1.0.00011

Can you install ARM Compiler 16.9.7 on it?

I'm using ARM Compiler 18.1, you mean install an old version?

Yes, I mean to suggest you to install and use ARM Compiler 16.9.7.

emmmm......could you please tell me why this version? I'm so afraid of it doesnt work and I need to reinstall CCS...

Because the warning in your screenshot shows your project uses this version. Don't you mean to fix that compiling warning?

You reminds me! I'm not using 16.9, I am using 18.1 ! But I dont know why the warning message show about 16.9,

All i use is 18.1, but the warning message show things about both 16.9 and 18.1, where does the 16.9 version thing come from?

I have told you this warning means the project is created and built by 16.9.7.LTS [ARM] but you only have 18.1 in your CCS. So, I had told you to installed 16.9.7.LTS [ARM] to build the project and you should see the warning disappear.

How foolish am I....Now i got what u wanna tell me ! Hope I can restart CCS after install!

The warning remained and doublt left click cant open ccs now...fully bad luck

what should i do next?

If you already install it, you should select it from compiler version in project properties to rebuild the project.

My compiler is not the same with yours, it has a warning symbol before and the comment is v18.1, seems version 16.9 unfound

I try to import ProjectZero from BLE5-Stack in SimpleLink CC26X2 SDK v:2.20.00.36 and I can build it successfully with CCS and TI v18.1.3.LTS as compiler without any warning. What's ProjectZero and SDK version do you use?

If you imported a new project from the SDK ,there's no problem. Only if you use projects edited with other version compilers, the problem shows
