CC2640R2F: RF_N and RF_P PINS

Part Number: CC2640R2F

Hi TI Engineers,

The customer has an issue regarding the communication range using CC2640R2FRHBT.  They are using the CC2640R2FHBT for a point to point wireless connection. The range is much higher when they change the pin RF_P with RF_N different to the datasheet. They use the differential operation with external bias.

They achieve in one case only about 12m and in the other 56m (Inverting only the RF_P and the RF_N pins different to the datasheet). The RF_N track first goes to a capacitor to ground in the evaluation board, but in the 5x5 circuit the RF_P track goes to a capacitor to ground.

See the reference diagram below from the datasheet and from the EVM respectively.

Please advise.

Thank you.
