getting started with CC2540, easy or not?

i'm interested in BT and the CC2540.
My question is: How difficult or easy is the implementation of the SoC?
Is the software complete available on ti-web?
There are some example projects?

The CC2540 Mini Development kit is something that should be useful for you. It has everything you need to start off with.
