RTOS/CC2640R2F: CC2640R2F

Part Number: CC2640R2F

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

I have two questions to ask you.

1. The test data provided by the official website of 2640R2F is 100m, but the actual test data is only 10m. The POB board is drawn according to the circuit of the demo board provided by the official website.

2. Does CC2640R2F support onchip without external flash? If the support can provide routines, the official SDK did not find routines, if not, please tell the reason

  • Hi,

    1) Range can be affected by many factors, so without more details it is not possible to say why you are only achieving 10 m range on your board. Have you for example done any conducted RF measurements to verify the performance? Tuned the antenna properly? Measured the antenna efficiency?

    2) On-chip OAD is supported, but with limitations on application size. Refer to the OAD section in the BLE Stack User´s Guide: dev.ti.com/.../blestack-users-guide.html

    Cheers,
    Fredrik
  • I have tested with the demo board of TI before, which is also the default transmission rate, but the actual transmission rate is only 40 meters. What's the reason for this? Meanwhile, I would like to know what method TI used before to achieve the test distance that far?
  • What demo board did you test and which SW did you run? Range is also very dependent on environment, so you will get better range outdoors on a field for example than in a dense urban environment or indoors.
