CC2640: Device not going in Sleep/Shutdown mode properly.

Hi,

I have some queries regarding the debug mode in cc2640. i am using simple peripheral code.

1. If I put device in debug mode, then do device will go in sleep mode if not advertising continuously and if i put device in shutdown mode then will device go in shutdown mode?

2. I have one custom cc2640 device, device is continuously taking 1.6mA current. Device is advertising for 6 sec in a periodic timer of 30 sec. I also tried to put device in sleep device stooped broadcasting but when i checked the current it showing 1.6mA. i just wanted to confirm device is going in sleep and shutdown mode. Is there any register which i can check in debug mode to verify device is going in sleep and shutdown mode properly?

You can use the command Power_shutdown().

Hi Srijit,

Thanks for reply. I am using the same API to put device in sleep and after calling this API device stops broadcasting, but as i said earlier how i can verify device is going in proper sleep/shutdown mode? When I am checking device current, it coming 1.6mA. Is there an register that i can read in debug through JTAG to verify device is going in sleep and shutdown mode.?

To be able to enter standby or shutdown you need to disconnect the debugger. You can use the pinStandby or pin Shutdown examples as a reference.
