Hi David,

    I want to use this chip to verify my AOA algorithm, but I do not understand why the single-channel time switch will not introduce new phase difference. Please help to understand, thank you!

    What do you mean by "the single channel time switch will not introduce phase difference"?

    AoA works by cycling through antennas in an antenna array and measuring the phase difference between the antennas. Each measurement is performed on single RF channels.

    my question is not very clear.In fact, I don't quite understand why the electromagnetic signal travels very fast. The bluetooth channel is a single channel. The speed of switching between different antenna channels cannot catch up with the speed of electromagnetic wave propagation.Because AOA estimates the signals require different antennas to receive the signals almost at the same time.How to eliminate the phase error caused by switching delay?And your chip can do estimation time (TOF)?
  • The continuous tone that is used to when switching between the differences antennas is relatively long in time. Much longer than the switching time of the RF switch. So while there might be a gap in the sampling when the switching occurs, the phase difference over time is still captured.

    If you look in the SDK you will also find SW examples for ToF.

         I learned from other documents that the frequency of continuous waves is 250K and the period is 4us.The switching cycle of RF switch is also 4us, and 16 IQ data are sampled in one cycle.Must the signal period be the same as the switching period?Also, because the switch is unstable, 16 I/Q data are sampled over a period of time. Do we have to discard I/Q data from 0 to 7 ?

    Over the coming months we will release more collateral about AoA. I suggest you wait a bit until this is available as this will explain more about how AoA works.
