CC2540: HCITOOL with cc2540 to setup Beaglebone like IoT Gateway for BLE

Hi all,

root@beaglebone:~# hciconfig hci0 up

root@beaglebone:~# sensortag 78:A5:04:8C:15:71 --all

Until now, have been impossible with cc2540 connected use this commands. Exist a way to use hcitool, hciconfig with cc2540?

For Bluepy, I suppose it uses USB-BT4LE or CSR chipset adapter. If your HW is CC2540, I suppose you have to use one of those examples in processors.wiki.ti.com/.../CC254X_PC_Examples

Hi all,

I have installed a bluetooth adapter to beaglebone (pic 1) and using hciconfig hci0 up (activate it) and hcitool lescan allows detecting the sensortag cc2560, and using sensortag MAC(cc2560) -- all (github.com/.../bluepy) was possible reading the sensor information (pic 2).
