CC2564C: Simultaneously running multiple A2DP or HFP profiles

Hello,

I would like a confirmation of my understanding of the CC2564C datasheet. It is possible to run simultaneously multiple A2DP or HFP profiles, if unassisted Nnote in section 1.4).

Questions:

If CC2564C is connected to 2 BT4.2 devices, could we run simultaneously 1 unassisted A2DP or HFP profile on each link?
If yes, how many devices would we support? (Understanding we may hit a bandwidth limit at some time.)

Yes.. you can run simultaneously a2dp (un-assisted) and HFP at the same time.. You have only one co-processor on CC2564C, so you need to choose between BLE, and any assisted modes.. please check section 1.4 of CC2564C data sheet..

Hi Hari,

Thank you. Section 1.4 of the datasheet does not state how many concurrent streams are supported though. On the other hand, I see section 6.4.3 (digital codec interface) says that up to 2 voice channels are supported. I assume this means that up to 2 concurrent A2DP/HFP streams are supported, right? Could these 2 streams come from different devices to which CC2564C is connected?

Yes.. The a2dp stream is through ACL connections on the HCI.

Hi Hari,

Thank you. Are we limited to 2 such streams, or would 3 or 4 unassisted A2DP or HFP streams, each to a separate device, work as well?
