CC2564: Can assisted A2DP & non-assisted A2DP be run simultaneously?

We have a product design where CC2564C is used to connect up to two headsets via A2DP.

1. Can CC2564C part support two assisted A2DP streams (to two headsets) simultaneously?

2. If two encoder stream can't be supported, can we use Assisted A2DP to send audio to a headset while using normal (unassisted) A2DP for the second headset?

    No

    Technically yes, but from system level it would make more sense to have both streams unassisted in this case.

  • We are currently using two unassisted streams but it uses quite a lot of CPU. Hence we were thinking of utilzing the on-chip encoder and hence the question of feasibility of using a mixed setup (one assisted and one normal).
