Hi,

I recently attended a Keysight Measurement Forum and they have a booth with the Keysight X8711A IoT Device Functional Test Solution. They put the CC2650 SensorTag in the box and they were able to do all sorts of BLE test including PER test without sending HCI Command, is that possible? See, video below. It is a non-contact test not like what I did using Anritsu BLE Tester where I connect a antenna wire to the Anritsu BLE Tester and send HCI Commands through RS232 connection.

Hi kel,

I have not been able to test this instrument myself, so I cannot tell you exactly how it works. It seems to simply to standard BLE communication to your DUT and use these packets for testing various parameters.

Thanks for the input. I just want to know if this is valid functional test compared to what I have done before using Anritsu BLE Tester. Maybe I will ask Keysight how exactly PER test happens using Keysight X8711A IoT Device Functional Test Solution.

Hi kel,

I would guess that this can be used as a functional (production) test for a BLE product. As you say, Keysight would know.
