CC2640R2F: How is it sate?

Part Number: CC2640R2F

Dears:

Could you kindly help to check the state of CC2640R2F?

1. From the below picture you can see if the voltage is drag so low(Red part 2), then CC2640R2F is in a unknown state, and it can not work normally.

The red part 1 detailed picture:

The red part 2 detailed picture:

The red part 3 detailed picture:

2. The current and voltage compared picture when not work well as below:

Pls. give some advice about it.

  • HI Lian,

What is dragging the supply voltage down? If it is crossing the BOD limit (right below the lower operating voltage limit) the device will reset. What is the difference between the green trace and the yellow trace?

    Regards,
    Fredrik
  • Hi Fredrik:
The Green Trace is the Vdds of CC2640R2F, and the yellow trace is the Input power.
And the supply voltage is dragged down because of big current(about 17mA under some operations.)

You can see the first picture the lowest voltage is 1.877v and is not below 1.78V. I think CC2640R2F is not under BOD limit.

Pls. kindly help to give some advice.

  • How low is the dip in detail 2?

What exactly happens in section 3?

Could you also measure the VDDR voltage when this happens?
  • Hi Fredrik:
    Pls. refer the below information:
How low is the dip in detail 2?
    Luck: 1.877V.

What exactly happens in section 3?
Luck: There will be a pules current, and the voltage is changed puled voltage.

Could you also measure the VDDR voltage when this happens?
Pls. refer the below picture and you can see the trace2 is VDDR's waveform.

The lowest value of VDDR is 1.5v.

    Btw, trace1 is input voltage(2.4V).

  • The pictures are lacking a marker that shows the voltage levels you are stating. Is it possible to upload the same plots but with a marker on the minimum? This case is also handled offline through Emma. Hopefully we will get some tags to measure on here.
  • Closing this case since I haven't gotten any feedback.
