CC2640R2F: LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2 is the main control board, ,BOOSTXL-AOA is the antenna array board. About AOA sender and AOA Receiver Installation location Questions.

Part Number: CC2640R2F
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2

Dear Engineer,

Can you help me about these questions? We can not solve them.

LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2 is the main control board, ,BOOSTXL-AOA is the antenna array board.

Question 1: How to install receiver antenna panel, vertical ground or horizontal?

At present, the antenna plate at the receiving end is vertical to the ground, mounted on the roof (see Question2-1), and the transmitter is placed at will.

Question 2: Does the different placement of the board at the AOA sender affect the calculated angle values of the magnitude and positive or negative?  (Pictures from Question2-1 to Question2-4)

The antenna plate at the receiving end is mounted vertically on the ground, and the transmitting end is also mounted vertically on the ground. We found that when the sender rotates at the same position at a certain angle, the measured AO angle values will be different. The angle values have positive and negative, and the range of change is large. Is this normal?

Question 3: Are there any requirements for the placement of antennas at the receiving end and plates at the transmitting end, and which one is the best?

Mode 1: Receiver vertical ground, sender parallel ground (Pictures of Question3-1)

Mode 2: Receiver Vertical Ground, Sender Vertical Ground (Pictures of Question3-2)

Mode 3: Receiver parallel ground, sender vertical ground (Pictures of Question3-3)

Mode 4: Receiver parallel ground, sender parallel ground (Pictures of Question3-4)

Question 4: What is the angle between AOA sender and receiver?

For example, the serial port output AOA angle value in the figure below is -35. (Pictures of Question4-1)

Is -35 degree the angle between the transmitter and the receiver antenna plate Z axis (see figure below)? (Pictures of Question4-2)
