CC2640R2F: SimpleLink Lab "Project Zero + Sensor BoosterPack" Location

Part Number: CC2640R2F

After I updated my CC2640R2 SDK to v2.30.00.28, the lab I was currently working on has been deleted!!!!

I realize that the IR Temp sensor on the BoosterPack is obsolete, and this is what the lab covers.  However, I have developed my own PCBs with my own custom sensors.  The final design will be similar to that lab, only with different I2C addresses and data formatting.  I was in the middle of the lab, finally making some progress, and the update removed it from the Resource Explorer.

Is there any way I can get that lab in a .PDF format?

I am an expert hardware/PCB designer, but somehow I got stuck with the software side of this project as well.  I am really struggling, as the extent of my software development has been C programming with simple 8051s.  I am trying to make sense of all of this, and that lab was actually helping me figure out how to set up profiles and alter the example code to transmit my data with BLE.

And while I am asking questions, is there now any recommended software replacement now available for the Bluetooth Developer's Studio that has been discontinued by the SIG?  I looked at some E2E threads a while back and there really wasn't an alternative software suite available.

Any help that can be offered will be appreciated.

  • Hi Chance,

We migrated that lab in 2.30 to include the new BASE Sesnsors Boosterpack that came out.

You can still access the older lab by going to the package picker in dev.ti.com/tirex which looks like this: [ ] at the top right hand corner of the page.

Select SimpleLink CC2640R2 SDK 2.20.xx.xx and click okay at the bottom of the page. This will load older versions of the SDK and associated trainings with it.
