CC2541: simpleBLEperipheral

Hi,

This is sumanth. I am a student. I am working on CC2541. I set up the entire environment required for CC2541 and also tried to program it with IAR embedded workbench with sample examples like toggle LED on board GPIOs. It went well. Now i would like to work further on BLE. I installed BLE stack 1.4.2 and trying to understand the SimpleBLEperipheral project.

I could not understand the output of that project and how can i use cc2541 to transmit data to mobile APP?

I am learning BLE protocol stack now and i request to help me to respond to the query mentioned above.

Hi,

CC2541 maybe isn't the best place to start for learning BLE. It's an older part and documentation isn't as new or easy to understand as some of our newer products. I suggest you work with the CC2640R2 and work through SimpleLink Academy here: dev.ti.com/.../

Hi,

Thank you for your suggestion and I would like to know that whether all TI components has same BLE protocol stack or it may vary to the different wireless MCU.

Different MCU has different BLE Stack.

Hi,

CC2541 - BLE Stack 1.4.2.2

CC2650 - BLE Stack 2.2.2

CC2640R2F - BLE Stack 3.x & BLE5 Stack 1.x

CC26x2/13x2 - BLE 5 Stack 1.x

The devices range in support of BLE 4.0 to 4.2 to BLE 5 versions.
