LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2: I2S Pinout on 5x5 Chipset

Hi,

i am using CC2640R2 with CC3200 Audio BoosterPack and want to make a custom PCB with SableXR2 Module which uses CC2640R2 5x5 Chispset.

On the Schematics from CC3200 Audio BoosterPack , the I2S and I2S wires are connected to the 7x7 Chipset like this:

DIO29 -> FSYNC

DIO30 -> BCLK

DIO0 -> DIN

DIO1 -> DOUT

DIO4_SCL -> SCL

DIO5_SDA -> SDA

So my question is how do i connect it to 5x5 Chipset?

DIO? -> FSYNC

DIO? -> BCLK

DIO0 -> DIN

DIO1 -> DOUT

DIO5_SCL -> SCL

DIO6_SDA -> SDA

If you are doing a custom PCB you can use which DIOs you like for the I2S interface.

Hi,

but what about the i2s driver?

I will have to Check on the existing stack driver for the 5x5 chip and check what Pins are configurated.

I don’t want to write a driver for it.

The pins used by the I2S driver is set in the board file.

This could typically look like this ( I took the closest file I had, the same for CC2640R2):

#define CC26X2R1_LAUNCHXL_I2S_ADI                 IOID_1
#define CC26X2R1_LAUNCHXL_I2S_BCLK              IOID_30
#define CC26X2R1_LAUNCHXL_I2S_MCLK              PIN_UNASSIGNED
#define CC26X2R1_LAUNCHXL_I2S_WCLK              IOID_29

Where you can assign the I2S pins to the pins that you want to use.
