Hi team,

I'm looking for help in coming up with a bluetooth solution to transmit audio from a device to a smartphone app for recording audio and to a bluetooth earphones for hearing at the same time. can you please answer my following questions.

1) can this be achieved by dual mode bluetooth module like cc256x? if so how to accomplish it and is there readily available software stack?

2) I'm assuming the possibility is using hfp and a2dp at the same time. But i'm interested in using voice over ble and a2dp using dual mode bluetooth.

Hi,

Unfortunately the CC256x can't support voice over BLE and A2dp at the same time.

Thanks for the reply. If that is the case can we do hfp and a2dp at the same time? Can you provide the firmware link to implement that. Thanks

Hello,

Yes you can.
What you are describing here is a SCO connection for the HFP and an ACL connection for the A2DP.

You can download the latest FW dependent on the specific chip you are using at ti.com

hi,

is that firmare contains the implementation of hfp and a2dp at the sametime? so I want the bluetooth device to transmit audio data for recording to mobile phone using hfp and transmit audio to bluetooth headphones using a2dp at same time.

The FW contains it.
however you need the UPS in order to create this channels.
