CC2540: DBM01 module is sending unknown characters

Part Number: CC2540

Hi all,

I have bought a DBM01 module and for testing the module through AT commands, I have successfully established the connection with DBM01 and my PC through a TTL to USB converter and I input the AT command to change the baud rate of the module and I changed it now the module is not responding to any of the commands.

1.can anyone say what will be the problem ? or is it possible to factory reset the DBM01 using the CC debugger?

2.CC2540EMK-USB is it a evaluation module for CC2540 that we can write our own codes and get familiarised with the CC2540 MCU?

3.A classic 4.2 bluetooth consumes 30mA on transmission while BLE 24mA in active mode, then what it is the main difference b/w classic bluetooth and BLE?

  • Hi Harikrishnan,

    1) You have to ask the module manufacturer about this.
    2) Yes.
    3) I am not sure where you get the current consumption numbers from. There are a lot of differences between "classic" Bluetooth (BR/EDR) and Bluetooth Low Energy. The target applications are different, and BLE is in general consuming less power. Refer to the Bluetooth specification and other documents for details.
