CC2541: Wireless certification - problem certifying existing products in new country

Part Number: CC2541

Hi,

We have several devices which have been previously certified in different countries around the world (some of these products are several years old). We have decided to now also get these products certified in Korea. During the wireless testing, they have come back to us with an issue. See the image below.

Also, see below for my personal testing of the "continuous wave" and "modulated" buttons, as seen in the app in the above screenshot (at 2.440 GHz). My point being, they both seem to be working because I get different responses from each button.

Where does the misunderstanding lie? Is the modulated command not doing what it is supposed to do? Or are they expecting it to do something different?

Thanks.

  • Hi Darcy,

The output power is flat throughout the packet (BLE is frequency modulated, not amplitude modulated). What is seen on the spectrum analyzer is thus expected.

Note that I do not know what app you are using and what actual BLE Stack API commands the buttons trigger.

    Regards,
    Fredrik
