LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2: When will TI support Direction Finding introduced in Bluetooth Core Spec v5.1?

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2

Hello,

I know that TI LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2 plus BOOSTXL_AOA has samples, aoa_sender and aoa_receiver, I guess these two examples's AoA is proprietary.

I'm just curious that what's TI's plan to support SIG AoA/AoD?

Thanks.

  • Hi,

Our proprietary solution closely resembles the solution that the SIG announced last week and any evaluation done on the current solution will easily be migratable to leverage the completed 5.1 solution in the future. We are in the process of adopting the 5.1 specification into our CC26x2 and CC13x2 devices but will not openly discuss dates and roadmap on a public forum. Please contact your TI sales representative for more information.
