I have been working very hard to get the OAD Manager to work on a USB Dongle without any success (see here) so I finally caved and purchase the CC2540EM and found a SmartRF05 off eBay.
I am following BLE Developer’s Guide for Over-the-Air Download for CC254x which I have had zero problems with until Section 11 Step 4.
- This step says to plug in the SmartRF05 with a serial cable. I plug the USB cable ( P12 on the SmartRF05) into my PC. In my device manager, the SmartRF05 shows up only under "Cebal controlled devices: SmartRF05EB" and there is no COM ports showing up.
Any help is greatly appreciated, preferably from someone who has gotten this running on the SmartRF05 and CC2540EM before.
