CC2640: Antenna which is already tested/certified with CC2640

Hello guys,

we use the component CC2640R2FRGZ for our products and we are really satisfied with that.
Do you have certified antennas for the integrated BLE module or do you know which antennas we can use for this Bluetooth module?
Now we use the Pulse W3108 antenna and everything works fine but our partners for the CE certification told us that this combination isn´t tested together.. (And that we have a problem because of that)

Here the components:

U2        CC2640R2FRGZ   IC-MCU TI CC2640R2FRGZ -40 to 85degC SMD VFQFN48          TI CC2640R2FRGZ
ANT1   W3108                     ANT HELICAL 2.4GHZ Pulse W3108 SMD                                         Pulse W3108

Now we will do the CE certificate (radio tests etc.) for our product and the guys from this CE institutes told us that we have to do radio tests with this combination and it´s quite expensive.

Is there any antenna which is already tested with your modules/components, so that we don´t have to do this radio tests?

    Hi Alec,

    The only alternative for a pre-certified solution is to use a complete module containing both the CC2640R2F and antenna (as well as required discrete components). You can find our module partners here: www.ti.com/.../overview.html

    There is no separate antenna that is in itself pre-certified for the CC2640R2F. If you have a custom design, you can use any antenna and the certification effort for CE will be the same.
